Muddyfunkster: A Word to the Unwise

Who am I? What is this blog about? Why should you read any of it?

Well, I'm a guy in his mid 20's living in Edinburgh. I moved here from Belfast 7 years ago to go to Edinburgh University and after graduating in E&E Eng I decided to stay (mainly because someone offered me a job). So I'm still floating around, drinking and enjoying Edinburgh. In an odd turn of events I'm actually now living literally across the road from the first flat I lived in - strange how life goes in circles.

Essentially, this blog holds my thoughts and actions - plus a few interesting links I deem fit for sprinkling between comments. My memory isn't the greatest, I can often recite whole conversations verbatim but find difficulty remembering what I did last week. So, this is my log book. One day I might open it up to my friends and family so that they can read it and follow what I'm doing, but for now it's for just a select few - and those who stumble across it.

FEEL FREE TO COMMENT! I can't say that enough, a blog is nothing without other people's thoughts and counter arguments. So if you are here, and you're reading, leave a comment! Even if it's just a hello, or you're upset at having wasted minutes of your life reading about mine, hit the comment button and let your fingers do the talking (but not to this post, pick a new one).

I am, to all intents and purposes, a private person. I don't let people in easily and I rarely tell the people who matter to me things that matter to me. I'm sure Freud or Yung (or Frasier) would be able to tell you why, but that's the way it is. So don't expect gushes of emotion, or detail that would make your eyes water. I'll also steer clear of implicating others for fear of infringing on their privacy where I deem fit - of course that might mean that I upset you, so please tell me.

For those confused by the date on this post, I've back dated it so that it doesn't appear on the main page. It'll be continually updated as I like to change things :)
